In May 2017, Internet2 announced Howard Pfeffer as their new President and CEO. With effect from June 2017, Howard took over from Dave Lambert who is taking a well-earned retirement from a long and highly successful career within the R&E community.
Dave joined Internet2 as President and CEO back in July 2010. One of his first visits took him to Europe where he visited the GÉANT Offices (then DANTE) in Cambridge. In conversations with GÉANT senior management as well as with NREN leaders across Europe, Dave showed from the beginning his interest in engaging network and education leaders in a global dialogue to build broader consensus on strategic programmes of global interest, critical to Internet2, GÉANT and our global partners.
