3rd Asi@Connect Call for Proposals announced – 31 October 2018 closing date!

TEIN*CC has just issued the 3rd Asi@Connect Call for Proposals (CFP), inviting applications from interested individuals and organisations who are willing to collaborate over the TEIN network and its peering networks.

The Call is open to proposal submissions covering activities in 5 work packages (WPs) that capture the core impact objectives of the Asi@Connect project, which is funded by the European Union and 24 Asia-Pacific countries/economies.

CFPs have established themselves as an effective delivery mechanism of Asi@Connect. The previous two rounds of CFPs were met with an enthusiastic response by the R&E community in Asia and further afield: in total, 114 proposals were submitted and, following a rigorous evaluation process by the Asi@Connect review committees, 29 awards were made, with a substantial funding investment of over €5m so far.

Most selected projects are managed by Asian partners from both developed and developing countries. From the European side, from the 2nd CFPs, GÉANT was awarded a contract to run a series of TRANSIT, CSIRT and federated identity workshops, while NORDUNET is supporting the Bangladeshi NREN (BdREN) improve distance learning capabilities.

Closing date for proposal submissions: 31 October 2018
