Claudio Allocchio, Chair of the GÉANT Community Committee, comments: “Last year the community celebrated Ann Harding (SWITCH), Leif Johansson (SUNET) and Niels van Dijk (SURF) for their impactful and outstanding contributions to the international Research & Education community at the first ever online Community Award event. Our community is made of valuable individuals, and so many of them contribute to making it successful, advanced and unique: nominate them, so we can give them the recognition they deserve and will inspire others to follow. Although this year’s online ceremony will not make this award less prestigious, I look forward to real life celebrations in 2022. Let me also take the opportunity to remind you to come forward with ideas for the GÉANT Innovation Programme that we launched in the end of February this year”.
The deadline for nominations is midnight CET on Friday 9 April, go ahead and nominate a colleague or a member of your community that you think deserves recognition for their contributions to Research & Education networking in Europe and the rest of the world.
With just one month to go, if you already have somebody in mind, do not delay and send us your nomination today.
*GÉANT employees are not eligible for the GÉANT Community Award.
