The TNC21 online event came to a close on Friday 25 June, after a week that saw the global R&E community come together from 105 countries and many different time zones to join our virtual platform.
With a packed programme of keynotes, presentations, workshops, demonstrations, and networking opportunities, all linked seamlessly together by our daily live lobby hosts and on-demand content, the 1200+ attendees enjoyed a virtual but very real experience!
Keynote speakers Professor Sue Black, Paulo Artaxo, Adam Lewis, and Serge Fdida enthralled the audience on their specialist subjects and each made a clear connection to what our community can do to help.
Virtual but real
For many, a particular highlight of the virtual platform was the networking carousel where participants were randomly paired for a four-minute chat, recreating those ad-hoc chats we all enjoy so much during real life events. Together with our social media campaigns #MyTNC and #TNC21MorningRun (including everything from walks to runs to swims and yoga sessions!) the week felt as close to a real event for all of us as we could hope!
Our huge thanks go to all those people who made TNC21 such a success – from the Programme Committee to the events and technical support teams from GÉANT and PSNC, to our sponsors and partners, and of course to all our participants who together made TNC21 such a great event.
And if you missed any of the sessions, please note all the recordings are now available at https://tnc21.geant.org/.
Many thanks to those participants who completed our TNC21 feedback survey, we appreciate it. We rely on attendees’ feedback to improve and shape our annual conference, if you took part in TNC21 and haven’t yet done so, we would be grateful if you could fill out this year’s survey.
TNC21 closed with a look ahead to TNC22, which will take place in Trieste, Italy from 13-17 June 2022. You can learn more at: https://tnc22.geant.org/
If you wish to receive updates and information on TNC22, you can join our TNC mailing list.
