Roundtable on Gender Equality at TNC23 Community Hub

Are you looking for an engaging and interesting discussion to spice up your lunch break at TNC23?

The GÉANT’s Gender Equality Committee is organising a roundtable that will be hosted at TNC23 Community Hub on Wednesday June 7 from 13:15 to 14:00, during the lunch.

To have gender equality means to live in a world where your access to rights, responsibilities, or opportunities are not restricted by your gender. Despite some significant progress over the years, the current situation within the research and education community is still far from ideal. Our community is truly an unique environment, but to create fair and inclusive workplaces that foster greater innovation and higher productivity we must recognise the barriers and make changes to remove them. The Horizon Europe requirement for organisations to create and implement a Gender Equality Plan is a step towards greater equality in the Research and Innovation environment.

The roundtable will be focused on consensus-building to explore best practices and confront some of the perceived issues and barriers that are impeding NRENs and other organisation to achieve gender equality. What are we doing and what can we do better as a community?

The Community Hub is located in the open space of the TNC23 conference centre.

Everybody is invited to join the discussion!
