On the 26 October, SIG-Sustainability hosted a “kick off” meeting to share plans and activities from all participants on all subjects green! The aim of this Special Interest Group is to share information around each member’s sustainability ambitions.
We learned more on the Sustainability Reporting in Ireland, HEAnet’s Strategy & Climate Action Plan and Green Initiatives in HEAnet.
JISC provided an update on their Sustainability Strategy and Reporting, SURF shared details on their journey with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, and GÉANT provided their Learnings from Working Towards GEANT’s First CO2 Report.

During our round table discussions, we also received contributions from Belnet, DFN and CANARIE. Our objective is to have a broader discussion in our next meeting which should take place in December; time to be confirmed. We are also looking for more members to contribute on this very important topic for all.
