New learning unit in the Network Automation eAcademy: “Version Control: Bitbucket”

In dynamic software teams, working together on collaborative projects, version control is a fundamental system to manage record changes, while allowing faster development and maintaining efficiency and agility.

With this in mind, the GÉANT project’s Network Development team just released a new technical unit in the Network Automation e-Academy covering one of the most popular version control and DevOps applications: Bitbucket, the Git-based code hosting and collaboration tool developed by Atlassian. The course is particularly recommended for teams intending to use Bitbucket as a central repository both for source code and for managing, maintaining and sharing configuration.

The unit covers the essential aspects of Bitbucket usage, including projects and repositories, branches, pull requests, issue tracking, integration with Jira, pipelines, and deployments.
