GÉANT Association publishes Annual Report 2024

Annual Report 2024

The GÉANT Annual Report 2024 is published today, 9 June 2025, following approval at the General Assembly (GA) meeting held in Brighton, at the start of TNC25 week.

Alongside Welcomes from the Chair of the Board Gilles Massen, and GÉANT CEO Lise Fuhr, we shine the light on the changes in Brussels and what this means for the GÉANT community; look at how the successful GÉANT (GN5-1) Project helped to enable the European Research Area; take a closer look at EOSC and the role of the GÉANT community; and celebrate the successful launch of the OCRE 2024 Framework. And, reminding all of us how quickly time flies, we look back at TNC24!

Nothing stands still and our wider environment is rapidly changing. As Lise Fuhr, GÉANT CEO, says in her Welcome:

“More than ever, in a world under pressure due to several geopolitical events, we need to work as one community and be true to our values and purpose. The approach of consultation and collaboration is what delivered the successful 2021-2026 GÉANT strategy, and as we fast approach a new era in European research and education, 2025 will see the development of what could be considered the most important and impactful GÉANT strategy yet.”

2025 will be another very busy year! We hope you enjoy the report, and we welcome your comments.
