We are proud to announce that Lise Fuhr, CEO of GÉANT, has been appointed to the PTI Board, as part of the leadership selections announced by the ICANN’s 2025 Nominating Committee. The Committee, responsible for appointing key leadership positions within ICANN and its affiliated bodies, announced its selections on 19 August 2025, naming individuals to roles that will help shape the future of internet coordination and stability.
PTI, formerly known as IANA, plays a critical role in the day-to-day functioning of the global internet. It is responsible for coordinating the internet’s unique identifiers, including protocol parameters, IP address allocation, and DNS root zone management. This operational foundation is essential to ensuring the stability, security, and reliability of the internet.
Lise Fuhr’s appointment reflects GÉANT’s deep-rooted connections with the global internet governance and technical communities.
