GÉANT Cybersecurity Campaign 2025: Cyber mindfulness in the age of AI

We are pleased to kick off GÉANT Cybersecurity Campaign 2025.
This year’s edition focuses on a timely and relevant theme: cyber mindfulness as a tool to defend against AI-driven threats.

Cyber mindfulness: Responding to AI deception

With the advancement of generative AI, malicious actors are gaining new capabilities to manipulate individuals through techniques such as deepfakes, voice cloning, AI-generated phishing messages, and identity fraud.

Current research and statistics show that these threats often target human emotions, such as urgency, shame, or authority, to bypass rational decision-making. In an environment where speed often works to the attacker’s advantage, this year’s campaign encourages a different approach: slowing down, being mindful, and making more deliberate choices online.

Be mindful. Stay safe.
In the age of AI-driven deception, a mindful pause can make all the difference.
