The call for proposals to participate as a speaker at the next GARR Conference is now open. The event will take place from 19 to 21 May at the University of Pisa.
The title of this year’s edition is “The Shape of Change. Between Digital Ethics and Shared Roots” — an invitation to reflect on the ongoing transformations in infrastructures and digital services supporting universities, research, schools, healthcare, cultural heritage, art and music.
The community is invited to submit contributions to share experiences, projects and visions on the use of digital infrastructures and services, with particular reference to the following topics:
- Digital sovereignty, infrastructure geopolitics and alternatives to closed systems
- AI ethics, autonomous systems and regulation
- Digital resilience, sustainability and system fragility
- Digital infrastructures, cloud and service federation
- Authentication and authorisation infrastructures
- Quantum computing and the Quantum Internet
- Digital cultural heritage
- Open source and Software Heritage
- Research data governance
Proposals offering a multidisciplinary perspective and fostering dialogue across different areas of expertise and experience will be particularly welcome.
The deadline for submissions is 23 March.
