A new learning unit is available in the Network Automation programme of the Network eAcademy. Created in collaboration with the Platform team, this unit introduces Maat, a free and open-source “Single Source of Truth” (SoT) for network resources and services developed under the GÉANT project. Following this learning unit, you will see that Maat provides an extensible, standards-based data model for physical and logical resources, and services, a REST API compliant with TM Forum specifications, and optional event-notification support. You will also understand what Maat is, how to model devices and services, manage relationships, validate against schema, and use Maat as a central, scalable backbone for automation or orchestration workflows.
