Bring your young talents to TNC19

GÉANT opens registration for Future Talent Programme

Each year GÉANT seeks to discover young inspiring talents within the European NREN community to join its Future Talent Programme (FTP) whose main aim is to bring together young professionals in the R&E networking community. The FTP Lightning Talk Challenge at TNC is an excellent opportunity to achieve this. This initiative offers young talents an intense learning track giving them the opportunity to showcase a variety of projects to a target audience in an impactful manner, using specific skills.

NRENs have the opportunity to present their IT students and projects to an international audience of innovation enablers, gain valuable visibility in the global R&E networking community, plus the opportunity to engage with potential future personnel.

Participation in the FTP is done via GÉANT NREN nomination only. Registered young talents will undergo a series of training sessions provided by a professional coach and trainer, and their proposals will follow the regular selection and evaluation procedure by the TNC19 Programme Committee. Selected students will receive a fully sponsored ticket to the conference, including travel and accommodation, and will be on stage at TNC19 to give a 5 minute Lightning Talk.

Already in its third year, this initiative is organised by the GÉANT Learning and Development (GLAD) team and has been very successful so far.

Selected FTP student stories will be published on this blog in the coming weeks, so stay tuned…
