To increase the accessibility of searchable data from the collections of its four museums, the University of Oxford wanted a cloud infrastructure that responded, performed, and delivered accurate research results and brought its collections under one digital roof.
To help achieve this, the university museums took advantage of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) courtesy onboard program, a complimentary program that uses an AWS partner to facilitate cloud implementation. CirrusHQ was the right partner for this project. They helped implement infrastructure as code to facilitate repeatability and updates, which lead to higher performance and greater resilience. They also ensured that the museums’ IT development team managed the delivery pipeline so as not to constrain development or deployment processes.
