We are pleased to announce that Olaf Verschoor has been appointed as GÉANT’s Head of Procurement.
Olaf will report to GÉANT’s CFO, David Wrathmall, and will take over from Paul Rouse who recently joined the GÉANT Executive Team as Chief Community Support Officer.
Olaf joined GÉANT in 2019 as a Procurement Specialist and has been heavily involved in GÉANT’s Cloud activities, including the OCRE Project. Prior to joining GÉANT, Olaf has held senior Procurement positions with the Dutch public broadcaster, the Utrecht public authority and Hewlett-Packard.
We thank Paul for his efforts in the development of the GÉANT procurement team since 2011 and his valuable contribution in pushing the boundaries of Procurement to support the international R&E community, and wish Olaf and Paul every success in their new roles.
