From September 9-13, 2020, the annual Ars Electronica Festival in Linz/Austria will be presented for the first time not only in the city of Linz, but also in “Kepler’s Gardens“, which are located at the campus of Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU) and at 120 other locations worldwide. The festival can be visited online on four live channels and in more than 60 virtual rooms (Mozilla Hubs).
Ars Electronica 2020 is taking place not despite but because of Corona – it is a journey to measure the ‘new’ world. In the course of this journey, the important questions of our time will be discussed. All the issues touched upon are marked by a general uncertainty and the question of how the crisis will shape and change us as humanity.
Austria’s National Research and Education Network ACOnet is happy to support Ars Electronica 2020 by providing additional bandwidth for this five-day journey around the globe.
