Jisc Security Conference goes digital

Jisc’s fifth annual Security Conference will take place online on 3-5 November 2020. This year’s theme, Building a cyber aware culture together, aims to share with participants how their organisation can mitigate risk and implement legally recognised cyber security standards. This year the conference’s programme has been extended to three days with the addition of more interactive and practical sessions covering open source security.

Henry Hughes, Deputy Security Director – E-infrastructure, Jisc: “There has never been a more challenging time for security professionals than during the Covid-19 pandemic. Overnight, staff and students have had to adapt to working at home on unsecure networks, creating a whole new set of security challenges that we must face together at a global level”.

Jisc is extending the invite to take part in their Security Conference to the wider international GÉANT community and would like to receive suggestions from willing speakers and topics to help them shape this year’s programme.

Last year I was fortunate to attend Jisc Security Conference in Newcastle, you can read my blog for further information about the event.
