Education and the digital world: TF-EDU meets again

Autumn is here. We are back to school, to university and to the (home) office. Whilst we gather lessons learned from emergency distance education, we are also looking at how to prepare for other new potential emergency situations, as well as trying to take advantage of the recent experience and drive our education institutions further into meaningful digital world(s).

Preparations are well underway for the next virtual meeting on 29 October 2020.

Registration is open for anyone interested who would like to contribute to the agreed topics or raise new ones.

What changed since Spring/Summer? Do we have a strategic approach to digital transformation now and if yes, what does it look like?

In the forthcoming  TF-EDU session we will aim to address the following strategic questions, and more:

  • How do we achieve quality when scaling up and reaching out?
  • How are we meeting users’ needs in the time of this new normal?
  • How have our institutions been agile?
  • What can be predicted with different timescales and horizons? (immediate – 2020/21; medium – 2021/22; long – 2030)

The first hour of the meeting will be dedicated to strategic updates of several country-specific approaches to distance education and related key challenges, including digital assessment. In the second hour Esther Wilkinson (Jisc) and Tomi Dolenc (ARNES) will facilitate the discussion between participants on the above questions.

Join us and enrich our conversations!

The TF-EDU Steering Committee looks forward to welcoming you soon.
