GÉANT Association publishes Annual Report 2020

The GÉANT Annual Report 2020 is published today, highlighting the activities and achievements of the GÉANT Association.

In what was a challenging year for so many, the report highlights the importance of collaboration, and the vital nature of NRENs and RRENs in enabling that collaboration. As Andreas Dudler, Chair of the GÉANT Board, mentions in his Foreword:

“The good news is that research and education networks in Europe and around the world delivered. In a world in which online became the fabric which kept us together, the GÉANT network, the European NRENs and their international partners delivered the secure and robust connectivity as well as the trust and identity services which consistently underpin the EU’s COVID-19 research platform, as much as any other pandemic related science.”

The report also includes ‘EOSC in Transition’, GÉANT’s thriving Community Programme, an overview of networking activities worldwide, and sections on trust and identity, cloud services, and security.
