Note it down: the GÉANT Innovation Programme is coming back in December!

GÉANT Innovation Programme

Following the last two successful editions, the GÉANT Innovation Programme is coming back in December to support innovative ideas from the Community! Submissions will open on December 5th.

What is it?

The call for proposals will be launched for research project funding of up to EUR30k, for a duration of no longer than 9 months. The past two editions (in 2021 and 2022) awarded funds to a total of twenty winning projects in Belgium, Czech Republic, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, and United Kingdom in the areas of multimedia, networks, trust&identity, education, clouds, security, and privacy.

As part of the GÉANT Community Programme (GCP), the GÉANT Association will reserve again EUR300k to support an Innovation Programme for specific research projects to be carried out by the GÉANT Community, i.e. GÉANT Member NRENs, universities, research institutions/institutes or other such legal entities to which a GÉANT Association Member NREN provides services.

Who can apply?

The Innovation Programme will accept applications from member NRENs from the GÉANT Association or legal entities from one of its ‘connected institutions’, including universities, research or education institutes or institutions connected to an NREN.

Which research topics will you consider?

Any subject area or topic providing that it falls within GÉANT’s Community remit! For example, proposals can draw upon areas such as networking, cloud, security, trust & Identity and education.

Stay tuned and check our channels, the Call for Proposals for the next edition will be launched in next few days!
