The GÉANT Learning And Development team (GLAD) is delighted to announce that nominations for the 2023 Future Talent Programme (FTP23) are open.
The Future Talent Programme gives students and young professionals from GÉANT-affiliated organisations the opportunity to receive expert presentation coaching and present at the prestigious TNC23 conference.
Who can take part in the Future Talent Programme?
The programme is open to students enrolled at a university or learning provider affiliated with one of GÉANT’s National members (NRENs) or to interns and early career professionals working at a member NREN. Participants must be nominated by GÉANT NRENs by 28 February 2023.
Master presentation skills
All the future talents accepted onto the programme are given expert presentation coaching to help them deliver high impact presentations. Coaching involves 1:1 sessions with the coach and a series of training webinars in small groups to take place between March and May 2023.
Get on stage at TNC23
FTP participants can also submit a proposal to join the Lightning Talk Challenge, for a chance to present their idea or research to an audience of specialists and peers at TNC, the largest and most prestigious research and education networking conference.
If accepted for a Lightning Talk, participants will receive full financial support for delivering their talk at TNC, including costs of travel, accommodation, attendance fees and expenses. Presentations will also receive further visibility by being published and promoted through GÉANT communication channels.
Important dates
- Get registered by your local NREN by 28 February 2023
- Submit your Lightning Talk proposal to TNC by 10 March 2023
- Attend presentation coaching webinars between March and May 2023
- If selected to deliver a Lightning Talk, take centre stage at TNC23 in Tirana, Albania, between 5-9 June 2023
