In preparation for tomorrow’s International Day of Women in Science, we are delighted to announce that GÉANT is coming back with the #WomenInSTEM campaign!
The campaign will stretch across the whole month of March, which is globally recognised as Women’s History Month. So, in honour of all the outstanding and inspiring women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) who are part of the global Research and Education Community, we have brought them together from across 4 continents to raise one shared message: women are leading the conversation in STEM and we invite everybody to join us in celebrating this special month!
Their contributions and testimonies will be promoted in two formats:
- A community-wide video celebrating the diversity and depth of our community of women in STEM
- And five longer video interviews exploring the professional and personal experiences of five women in STEM
The women joining the campaign have very different job roles and professional backgrounds – from research to trust & identity, network communications, and High-Performance Computing – and they come from different cultural environments. But it is this variety that makes the stories of our women in STEM relatable and inspiring!
