Two weeks – actually a little bit less – 13 sleeps and 12 breakfasts separate us from TNC23! The final countdown has started for the TNC23 teams in Amsterdam, Cambridge, Copenhagen, Poznan and Tirana too. While my colleagues keep beavering away in the background, let me share some reminders and useful facts to help you get prepared for TNC23.
The Host
This year’s host is RASH, the National Research and Education Network of Albania. Established in 2007 following an Agreement between Albania and Italy, in 2011 RASH started operating nationally and in 2012 at international level becoming a full member of the GÉANT Association. In 2018, following an agreement between all the rectors and the Ministry of Education of Albania, RASH became an autonomous inter-institutional R&D centre for ICT.
RASH has developed in-house 10 software platforms for Higher Education, the NREN also builds and manages the academic network backbone and campus networks for public universities and research institutions in Albania. Its e-infrastructure is connected with the GÉANT network, RASH has also deployed in the country several GÉANT services supporting all scientific disciplines.
A very big thank you to the RASH team who’s helping (and more) to make TNC23 happen!
Get social at TNC23
One of the many ways to get into the DNA of a conference is by joining the social media conversation around the event; the engagement creates a buzz and expectations that help participants to stay connected and get to know each other even before the events starts. This year we are hoping to achieve this in a variety of ways. As you know we are back on the #Road2TNC. Would you like to know how to join the conversation? It’s simple! Just read the steps in the banner below.
And let me just add that the photo booth is back, we hope to see again all those happy faces and experience the positive atmosphere it created at TNC19 in Tallinn and on social media; the TNC23 photo booth will be at the Palace of Congresses – TNC23 main venue – look out for it or just ask us where to find it.
TNC23 Online Platform
If you can’t make it to Tirana, did you know that remote participation will be possible also this year? How? Via an online platform which will offer live streaming of all sessions and recordings (available two hours later), on-demand content and dedicated chat rooms. Access to this platform will be made available to all registered participants (in presence and remote participation) very soon, we will be sending personalised communications about this very soon. In the meanwhile, if you haven’t yet done so, please register for your FREE online pass today.
Do you still have any burning questions about TNC23? Just contact tnc@geant.org and you will always get an answer.
And, do you know that you can still register for TNC23? We would love to see you and welcome you in Tirana.
