GLAD's Community Courses

Upcoming events

GLAD are running a series of online ‘Presentation Skills’ training sessions over the coming months which are open to the whole community, regardless of presentation skill level. Hosted by Dom Mayerl, Learning and Development Specialist GÉANT, these are a great opportunity to refresh your knowledge on best practice for presentations, and ask any questions you have on design and delivery. You can register for the courses below:

4 April – Inclusive Presentation Skills
When developing and delivering a presentation, it is important to think inclusively about the diversity of your audience. This session will provide you with guidance on how to ensure any presentation you provide avoids any language or behaviour that might be offensive, insensitive, or discriminatory. It will also look at inclusive presentation visuals and ways to make any material more accessible for the whole community.

22 April – Software Catalogue Infoshare – Towards Full Compliance For Your Project in GÉANT

Software Catalogue (SC) provides rich meta-information about software projects. For many years, GÉANT has implemented processes to validate services and applications in terms of security, quality, licensing and intellectual property protection or user privacy. SC as part of these processes enables project owners to pass such validation processes efficiently, but also provides teams with a useful analytical tool. GLAD will demonstrate how easy it is to put your own project in SC and what value it provides to teams.
