We are pleased to share that the signature process of OCRE 2024 Framework agreements is rapidly progressing in line with the approaching start date of the OCRE 2024 Framework, planned for 3 February 2025.
The process involves the formalisation of 416 framework agreements with a wide range of commercial cloud service providers, offering Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions. With the majority of the contracts already countersigned by service providers, OCRE 2024 framework agreements will soon be available for all the institutions that had expressed their willingness to participate through their National Research and Education Networks (NRENs). The full list of institutions is available at: https://clouds.geant.org/ocre2024entities
Once in place, the resulting OCRE 2024 Framework will enable Research and Education institutions in 39 countries across Europe to access this vast and varied offering of commercial cloud services in a compliant, easy and cost-effective way.
More about OCRE 2024
The OCRE 2024 Framework is the third iteration of GÉANT’s flagship cloud frameworks that since 2016 have fostered digital transformation across Europe by bridging the supply of innovative commercial cloud services with the demand and requirements of Research and Education institutions. Procured via a public pan-European tender and with support of the GN5-1 project, the OCRE 2024 Framework is currently undergoing its final phase of preparation, and will be in place for a period of five years.
