This Infoshare is designed for software developers, project contributors, DevOps engineers, and team leads working within GÉANT and the NREN community, as well as those responsible for software governance and licence compliance.
By the end of the session, participants will:
- Understand the purpose, scope, and benefits of the GÉANT Software Licensing Certificates
- Learn how to apply for, validate, and obtain a certificate, and how to use the badge to demonstrate compliance
- Recognise how the certification process aligns with best practices in OSS licence and IPR management
- Know how to connect the certification workflow with SCA, SLA services, and licence metadata in the GÉANT Software Catalogue
- Gain awareness of supporting materials such as guides, eAcademy courses, and project templates
A basic understanding of OSS licensing is assumed; however, all key concepts will be illustrated with examples, making the session accessible for both new and experienced developers.
