Register for the 1st SIG-Quantum online meeting on 1st December 2025

The new Special Interest Group on Quantum Technologies (SIG-Quantum) will have its first meeting remotely on 1 December 2025.

Launched at TNC25 in June 2025, SIQ-Quantum is a new community forum dedicated to advancing quantum innovation across research and education networks. This inaugural meeting will introduce SIG-Quantum’s scope and goals, highlight current quantum activities within the GÉANT community and beyond, and set the foundation for future discussions and collaborations within the group.

Part of the agenda are talks from GÉANT, CERN and ESnet and a roundtable to discuss priorities for a quantum roadmap within GÉANT. Join us to connect with peers, explore emerging quantum efforts, and help shape the future of quantum technologies in research and education!

About SIG-Quantum

SIG-Quantum (Special Interest Group on Quantum Technologies) brings together experts and stakeholders working in quantum networking, computing, sensing, cryptography, and communication. Its mission is to foster collaboration, share knowledge, and support the development, testing, and standardisation of quantum solutions. SIG-Quantum will play an advisory role to the GÉANT Programme Planning Committee (GPPC) and contribute to strategic planning and coordination efforts across the GÉANT ecosystem.
