The Network eAcademy has published a new unit under the network Automation track: “User management”. This course offers a comprehensive introduction to User Management, a fundamental discipline for ensuring secure, efficient, and scalable IT environments. The course explains how modern organisations manage user identities, accounts, and access permissions across a wide range of systems, devices, and applications. It explores the concepts of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), and it illustrates how automated processes and structured policies help maintain security while supporting evolving user needs.
In addition, the course delves into essential technologies such as LDAP, Active Directory and the use of workflows to streamline lifecycle management and enforce consistent access controls. Participants will gain an understanding of how User Management underpins organisational productivity by ensuring employees have the right access at the right time—securely and efficiently. This course provides participants with the knowledge to contribute to safer IT operations and more effective digital resource management within their organisations.
