Conference theme: Different threads, one fabric

Just as the weavers bring distinct threads together into a resilient cloth, our NREN community is woven from a rich tapestry of voices, skills, and perspectives. Inspired by Liège’s industrial heritage – shaped by steel, textiles, and a spirit of innovation – we are continually forging connections and building bridges that reinforce the fabric of our shared network.
Our community stretches across borders, cultures, and disciplines. By bringing together our diverse experiences and perspectives, we transform this multitude of voices into a shared language and a common purpose.
This is the spirit of this year’s theme: Different threads, one fabric. Together, we weave our unique strengths into something greater – a connected, resilient and powerful community, equipped to champion global innovation and shape our shared digital future.

 Hosts and Venue

For the first time ever in the history of TNC, this year TNC27 will be hosted by two NRENs, Belnet, the Belgian NREN, and the Restena Foundation, the NREN for Luxembourg.

The event will take place in the Liège Palais des Congrès, a convention centre located in the Parc de la Boverie, on the banks of the river Meuse. Walking distance from the city’s futuristic train station, the convention centre was built in the 50s by Groupe Équerre, a prominent Belgian architecture firm known for its bold, modern style.
