EaPConnect second phase kicks off with the EU4Digital Steering Committee

Past achievements and future goals of the EU-funded ‘EU4Digital: Connecting Research and Education Communities’ project, known as EaPConnect, were presented at a high-level meeting organised by the EU4Digital Facility on 5 October 2020. The session to officially kick off the second 5-year phase of the project was part of the second annual Steering Committee Meeting of the EU4Digital Initiative, running 5-9 October.

More than 65 participants including representatives of Eastern Partnership (EaP) ministries, EU Delegations, and EU institutions were welcomed by Mathieu Bousquet, Head of Unit at the European Commission’s DG NEAR – the Directorate General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations – which is funding EaPConnect. “If we are talking about a partnership that delivers for citizens, I think this is a good example,” he said, summarising key achievements of the first EaPConnect project, which were also highlighted in a new video shown during the meeting.
