TIM (Trust and Identity Incubator Mentorship) Programme is an initiative that brings together ambitious young minds and subject matters experts to pioneer and prototype new ideas in the Trust and Identity field. TIM is a collaboration between subject experts the T&I Incubator task, GÉANT Learning and Development (GLAD), NRENs and young professionals across Europe. The overall aim of the program it to contribute to a viable and sustainable pipeline of T&I products and services for the GN4.3 project and ultimately, for the European NREN community.
Nominated by their home NREN, participants (and their mentors) are integrated into the work of the T&I incubator right from the start. They collaborate directly with the Incubator SMEs on the topics provided by SME’s and NRENs. On this journey, they are mentored by the Incubator experts as well as their home NREN. GLAD provides additional support through training opportunities both for participants as well as for the NREN mentors. Finally all participants are expected to present their work at an international event or conference as advised by TIM.
The Trust and Identity Incubator is seeking trainees for its 5th iteration of TIM ( Trust & Identity Incubator) programme where students, mentors and T&I subject matter experts come together to work on the latest innovations in T&I. This exciting work takes place in the form of an internship, hosted and mentored by a NREN. The student and NREN jointly submits ideas for T&I projects for the mentorship programme which are then judged by the TIM selection committee to work on for the next 6 months.
Students are remunerated for their work and may use the projects for their thesis. NRENs benefit from the opportunity to get into the heart of the development of new T&I products and services and are able to claim manpower for their time and effort in the mentorship.
The application deadline for TIM programme is 23 May. The next programme starts on 17 June.
