The Trust & Identity Incubator invites all community members to attend the final demo for its first iteration in the GN5-1 project. The event will take place online on 7 September 2023, 13:00-15:00 CEST.
The Trust & Identity Incubator team organises regular demo sessions to present the interim results of the Incubator activities and collect feedback from the community as early as possible. Since this is the second public sprint demo for this cycle, the results of the entire cycle will be presented. This session will be the perfect opportunity to find out about a range of emerging developments in the area of Trust & Identity (T&I).
- geteduroam Linux client – This activity focuses on implementing a Linux version of the geteduroam client. By making the client accessible to a new platform, the team hopes to increase adoption and encourage more users to use this easy way of configuring eduroam.
- Further improve the personal profile page – This activity aims to improve the personal profile page, building on a successful activity from the GN4-3 project. By developing a prototype of a Shibboleth/SimpleSAMLphp module to show a user login history, the team hopes to enhance the user experience and make it easier for users to take control about what they release to services.
- OIDCfed support on SimpleSAMLphp – This activity aims to add native OIDC federation support to SimpleSAMLphp. This will enable Identity Providers (IdPs) to support OIDC federation without changing their existing infrastructure.
- Passkey – The Passkey project aims to investigate passwordless authentication in the context of identity federations. This new approach will provide valuable insights into the feasibility and potential benefits of Passkeys as a first factor or even a MFA alternative.
All sessions will be recorded and published after the event at https://wiki.geant.org/x/VAVBJg
