At the annual EGI conference, international scientific communities, computing and service providers, European projects, security experts, community managers, and policy makers gather to take research and innovation in data-intensive processing and analytics forward, in a safe and open environment with room for in-depth discussion, new insights, networking, and fun.
EGI2024 will take place in beautiful Lecce, Italy – from 30 September to 4 October 2024. This edition is organised in close collaboration with Fondazione Centro Euro-Mediterraneo sui Cambiamenti Climatici (CMCC).
GÉANT joins e-Infrastructures Assembly at EGI2024
We are pleased to share that GÉANT will be a partner at the upcoming EGI Conference, and will be part of a joint e-Infrastructure booth at the EGI2024 Exhibition, alongside EGI, EUDAT, OpenAIRE and PRACE.
During the Closing Plenary on 3 October, the conference will also feature the launch of a new e-Infrastructure Assembly, aiming to enhance collaboration among e-infrastructures and advocate their role as pillars of the European Research Area (ERA).
The newly constituted collaboration will promote various activities, such as seeking dialogue and fostering interaction of e-Infrastructures with major European initiatives in the European and international research landscape, increasing today’s collaboration in research and development areas of common interest, and defining common strategies for the development, interoperation, integration and delivery of e-Infrastructure services.
