On 8-9 October 2024, the Special Interest Group on Information Security Management (SIG-ISM) will meet at the GÉANT office in Amsterdam.
What are the main aims of SIG-ISM?
- Establish a community of security management professionals
- Develop, maintain, and promote a trust framework between NRENs based on international standards
- Promote the use of international security standards and share best practices for security management within NRENs
- Discuss and promote issues of information security management of particular interests to NRENs
Join the next SIG-ISM meeting
The first day will focus on ISO22301; business continuity and resilience, NIS-2 status towards compliance in R&E, and starting a project for the certification towards ISO27001:2022 certificate. The day will close with discussions on governance, risk and compliance, and a dinner in the evening.
The next day will start with looking into threat intelligence and security incidents, training and awareness, NREN resources, and finally what the future of SIG-ISM looks like.
