Join us for the Network Performance and Monitoring workshop, co-located together with the 22nd SIG-NOC meeting, both kindly hosted by CESNET in the heart of Prague, Czech Republic.
Network Performance and Monitoring workshop (1-2 April, 1.5 days)
This year the Network Performance and Monitoring workshop returns with a focus on hands-on experience in network performance measurement, evaluation and results interpretation. The Performance Measurement Platform (PMP) will be used for this purpose with distributed perfSONAR nodes installed in almost all European countries performing measurements towards 5 measurement points located in the GÉANT network. The workshop will provide practical examples and guidance to make the most out of a PMP node or perfSONAR deployment. Participants will learn how to create their own network performance measurement mesh and dashboard and find out about advanced features that such a multi-domain monitoring platform can provide, all by learning how to use the perfSONAR user interface and its lookup service.

22nd SIG-NOC meeting (2-3 April, 2 half days)
The meeting will include talks on flow analysis and monitoring detection, an EuroHPC update on hyper connectivity, insights into the procurement of network equipment and its challenges, as well as an open discussion on NOC on Cloud and using M365 from an operational point of view – vulnerabilities, implications for the future and potential alternatives.
