“How-To-Video: Single Photon Detection”
This is the first course that is part of the new series “How-To-Videos” with hands-on instructions and guidelines. The video introduces the principles and practical setup for measuring single photons using a Single-Photon Avalanche Diode (SPAD) sensitive in the infrared region, and the challenges of working at single-photon intensity levels. Also discussed is the importance of avoiding detector saturation to maintain measurement accuracy.
