What if conditions are such that traditional elections cannot take place? Enters Zeus – an internet voting platform, developed by GRNET, in which all the steps of the voting process can be verified using well-established mathematical tools. It has been devised with the objective in mind that the voters can be confident that their votes are counted correctly and their anonymity is guaranteed.
Since its launch in 2012, GRNET has hosted over 600 Zeus-enabled elections, from votes for governing bodies in academia, political parties conducting internal elections to the association of Greek hotel owners electing their management board.
Find out more about Zeus and what motivated GRNET to develop it on the In The Field blog.
