TNC21 is around the corner and we have so much to share with you!
Making Waves
Over the course of five days the conference programme will feature live and on-demand content, 4 internationally acclaimed keynote speakers, demonstrations and lightning talks all focusing on this year’s theme ‘Making Waves’. TNC21 will cover a wide range of topics, providing a snapshot of the global Research & Education community.
A new virtual platform
So many changes at TNC this year! The TNC21 team is working round the clock to ensure that the conference’s virtual platform delivers an exciting and memorable user experience. Participants will be able to personalise their programme by selecting their favourite sessions in advance and plan their time accordingly. Each day from our TV studios in Amsterdam (GÉANT) and Poznan (PSNC) live hosts will walk attendees through the events and connect with you in TNC21’s virtual lobby.
And there’s more, the conference’s online platform will calculate and display the amount of CO2 emission saved by every single participant by taking part in TNC21, but one of its most remarkable features is certainly the Networking Carousel: a virtual environment where you will be allowed to meet other attendees in timed random meeting sessions. Catch up with old friends and make new connections! The platform also allows you to meet other participants via direct chat or video.
‘The TNC21 team has worked wonders to create a virtual environment that comes close to a real conference experience. You will be able to tailor-make your programme and even more importantly: the platform offers excellent networking opportunities, almost as good as real coffee breaks!’, says Cathrin Stöver, Chief Collaboration Officer for GÉANT.
Get social at TNC21
Following on from the success of #road2TNC in 2019 and #MissingTNC in 2020, we are excited to launch TNC21’s first (yes, there will be more) social media campaign, #MyTNC.
From where will you join TNC21? In your home office and in the company of your pets? In your garden or veranda? In a coffee shop or a park? Do let us know. How? Share #MyTNC with photos and captions of how and where you will experience the conference this year. We will include as many images as possible in our daily conference communications.
Join Twitter and remember to use #MyTNC #TNC21 and tag @TNC_GEANT and @GEANTnews.
