AzScienceNet is delighted to announce the completion of the expansion of its Network Operation Centre (NOC) in Baku.
The pandemic period, notwithstanding the inevitable delays caused in the NOC reconstruction phase, also offered time for reflection and as a result, some important decisions about the reorganisation and restructure of AzScienceNet were evaluated and made. AzScienceNet felt that the time had come to restructure, review and expand its technical capabilities to be able to adapt to and meet users’ requirements in the research and education communities of Azerbaijan and further afield. Babak Nabiyev, Head of the AzScienceNet Network Operation Centre commented:
“These changes will enable AzScienceNet, which is also one of the five beneficiaries of the EapConnect project, to expand its activities as an NREN in the international research and education arena.”
