New learning unit in the Network eAcademy: “Protocols: RESTCONF”

GÉANT Network eAcademy - RESTCONF

The GÉANT Network eAcademy has a new learning unit available in its “Decoupling and Integration” track: “Protocols: RESTCONF”.

Building on the datastore concepts defined in the Network Configuration protocol (NETCONF), the RESTCONF protocol provides a programmatic interface for accessing data defined in YANG and allows users to automate their network infrastructure using familiar RESTful API patterns. RESTCONF can use either JSON or XML for data encoding.

This learning unit provides a general overview and introduction on the basic concepts of the RESTCONF protocol, explanations and examples of RESTCONF methods, and examples of operations supported by a RESTCONF server.

You can follow the unit here (login required): https://e-academy.geant.org/moodle/course/view.php?id=324
