This Infoshare will take place on 22 October 2025 at 14:00 CEST, and it will focus on network service orchestration and automated infrastructure management.
The GN5-2 WP6 Task 2 project team has developed new tools and components from scratch, but also integrated them with well-established open-source software. The ultimate validation of this work comes from real deployments and user acceptance.
It is especially satisfying to see recent production deployments in the PIONIER network, as well as pilot deployments, for example in the GP4L infrastructure. – Roman Łapacz, PCSS
The event will present the selected results of this work, which may be of particular interest to those who are implementing or planning to implement workflows for network operations, as well as to those looking to leverage cloud technologies. These results, as well as the open-licensed software we are developing, can be directly reused or adapted in your own projects.
The agenda consists of a series of concise presentations: most talks will be 10 minutes long, giving a short introduction to the functionalities of the Apache Airflow orchestrator and the Maat Source of Truth. The session on nmaas support for remote K8s clusters will take 15 minutes and will also outline the future direction of the nmaas platform – its evolution towards a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) system enabling the implementation of diverse use cases. The event will conclude with a 20-minute Q&A session, offering space for additional details and open discussion.
