SIG-TFN to meet in Amsterdam on 16-17 October

The new Special Interest Group for the Time & Frequency Network (SIG-TFN) will have its first official meeting in Amsterdam on 16-17 October 2024.

Following the initial meeting in Geneva earlier this year, this meeting will take place over two half days, kindly hosted by the University of Amsterdam on their campus.

An exciting agenda is planned covering both technical and financial topics with a speaker from the JRC, an update on the pathfinder link and an optional lab tour.

SIG-TFN will also hold an informal meeting before the NORDUnet conference on 9 September, co-located with the Special Interest Group on Next Generation Networks (SIG-NGN).

SIG-TFN (Time and Frequency Network) aims to gather and exchange experiences, ideas and knowledge on the development, deployment, testing and standardisation of Time and Frequency solutions, leading to the development of a Core-Time and Frequency Network (C-TFN). The SIG has an advisory role to GEANT GPPC and relevant project management/coordination function.
