Submissions are now open to join the GÉANT Community Committee (GCC) as the Trust & Identity representative.
About the role
You are required to be an active member within the Trust & Identity (T&I) community (such as REFEDS, AARC, FIM4R and/or activity in the T&I work package of GN5-2).
As a GCC member, you will support the GÉANT Community Programme (GCP) to continue to build a thriving community for years to come and ensure all relevant topics are covered. The GCC acts as a link between the community and the General Assembly (GA) of GÉANT, helping raise challenges from the community to the GA or vice versa.
Meetings and time commitment
The GCC meets throughout the year, including:
- two in-person meetings with GCC members
- one in-person meeting with GCC members and representatives from the whole GÉANT Community Programme
- at least two online meetings in between
In addition, members contribute around one person-month per year. This includes attending SIG and other relevant community meetings as a liaison, supporting new initiatives joining the GÉANT Community Programme, reviewing nominations for the GÉANT Community Award, as well as proposals for the Innovation Programme and the TNC Community Hub. In some cases, members may also take part in working groups such as the Humanitarian Support Group.
Timeline and application
The call opens on 29 April 2026 and the deadline for submissions is 16 June 2026.
We ask for the following:
- A short biography (max half an A4 page)
- A short motivation (max half an A4 page)
- A summary of activity in the T&I community over the last two years (max half an A4 page)
Please send your application to Dawn Hsu-hua Ng.
The GCC will make a decision on nominations at the end of June.
