On September 12, 2022 the Special Interest Group on Next Generation Networking (SIG-NGN) will hold a meeting alongside NORDUnet conference 2022, in Reykjavik, Iceland.
With a full-day meeting, the group will focus on presentations and discussion on future network architectures that R&E networking will need to manage the next leap in capacity requirements from next-generation Research Infrastructures (HL-LHC, SKA, LSST, and more). The meeting will address technologies such as spectrum sharing, underlay and overlay networking, L2 packet inspection, P4, and more, and discuss ideas for how these technologies can be used by R&E networks to do traffic engineering, capacity management, and support for demanding research applications.
The agenda is under construction and the registration link can be found here.
The meeting is open to anyone interested in the topics.
