The Institute for Informatics and Automation Problems of the National Academy of Science of Armenia (IIAP NAS RA) is now an official member of the esteemed Francophone University Agency (AUF – L’Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie). During a ceremony at IIAP, Madame Laure Castin, AUF’s Regional Director for Central and Eastern Europe, presented the membership certificate to Hrachya Astsatryan, Director of IIAP, marking the beginning of a promising partnership. This membership will facilitate collaboration, research opportunities, and academic exchange within the global Francophone community.
IIAP has a rich history of fruitful cooperation with French institutions, particularly with the Institut de Recherche en Informatique de Toulouse (IRIT). Notable collaborations include Erasmus projects and joint initiatives, such as the creation of the Charles Aznavour Armenian National Supercomputer Center (ANSCC), supported by the Toulouse Institute of Computer Science (Paul Sabatier University) and ATOS.
