Keynote Speaker

We are excited to announce our first keynote speaker at TNC25 will be Jess Auerbach Jahajeeah. She is an interdisciplinary social scientist and Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town. She has worked across Africa and the Americas, exploring digital inequality, knowledge systems and inclusive innovation.

Her keynote “Networks and Knowledge Futures: the architecture of imagination” will use the physical infrastructure of the Internet as an entry point for a discussion of how contemporary knowledge infrastructure shapes imagination and possibilities. Drawing on time spent with the crew of the Leon Thevenin, Africa’s only dedicated oceanic fiber optic repair vessel, it humanises the work of building, maintaining and expanding knowledge networks across divided political geographies.

Social Events

Don’t forget to join our various social events during your time in Brighton as it’s a great way to socialise with other participants!

The Opening Reception will take place on the first day of TNC25 in the Brighton Dome, the event’s main venue, immediately after the last parallel session of the day. This is when you can socialise with other participants, meet the speakers, and engage with our partners.

Following on from this, it’s time to celebrate the start of TNC25 with the Kick-Off Party at Shelter Hall which is Brighton’s vibrant seafront food hall.

On Wednesday 11 June, Jisc will host a memorable evening at the iconic Brighton Palace Pier for the Conference Dinner. Here you can enjoy seaside fun, exhilarating rides, and excellent opportunities to network with your peers.
